woah MSN was hectic.
ppl all chatting with me at the same time.
Huda, Sharm, Nad, Pei Khee, Bryan.
woahh. this only happens when there's smth impt to be done online asap.
suddenly I see the whole world logging in. hahahha.
like the otr time when checking PAE results. this time, regristration for course combination online.
yep so funny.
so after much thought and discussion with mom (many of my brain cells wld hv suffered)
I chose Chem2 Econ2 MA2 and ELIT1 GP PW.
don't know if I shd choose Phy as my sci. such a gamble bcos my interest for Chem runs deeper. and I'll work hard (I think)
phobia PHYSICS. SPA. screwed. all BAD memories. no need a re-run.
ok I made the correct choice.
wanted Geog but LIT seems exciting. studying Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice
(:
I'll just get a feel of the subjs.
and I did consulted Syaf, she called.
gee.
so today was first day of orientation.
booooringgg.
typical: all the long introductions, principal speech, subj talks and uni talks.
hahahah.
was my first time stepping into MJ.
very very big.
greeted warmly by my snr, Syaf who gave me a bear-hug.
(:
got lost, tryg to find Az, Qah, Abigail and Yanti.
dad sent me, dropped me at the bus stp which was near the main gate.
I thought it was side gate! no wonder I couldnt spot any of them.
not that it's so hard, bcos our uniform's GREEN and stands out from the rest.
so I did spot a few at the foyer, I think.
Sharm and Charlene.
then He Bei & I walked off to find Az and the rest.
just walked ard, not sure where we were gg yet still managed to find em!
hahhaah.
MJ ppl very enthu, feels like a whole community bonded.
feels like I belong.
ahahaha. many many OGL students were already in the hall holding the placards.
spotted a Mchottie, one of the OGLs. ahahahh.
anw, we were grouped according to our initials.
it's temporary, just for admin purposes.
yay. loads of TKGians apparently. wow domination.
so me and Bahiah were relieved to find ourselves together in a grp.
hahahaha.
she's such a pleasant and sweet girl. very easy going. (:
sticked through the whole time. once, had to really pee but had to hold back.
the hall was chilly!
and I'm not complaining bcos it's 100x better than TK's hall.
tutors briefed abt the diff subjs they;re in charge of.
I'm really impressed by the string of speakers. all of em were amazing!
most presented themselves well and had full confidence.
(:
the Hist tutor's really young and pretty! hahahah. eye candy for the guys.
I liked the Chem tutor so much alr. an Indian.
after that, it was the Uni talks.
NUS, NTU AND SMU.
we split up.
Me, Az and Natasha went for the SMU whilst Qah and Yanti went for NUS.
overwhelming response for the NUS. not a surprise actually.
I'm only interested in SMU bcos it specialises in LAW.
and almost ALL of its graduates are well sought after, for jobs.
SMU works hand in hand together with 2 of America's best universities,
one of which is a business sch which tops the world.
graduates can expect internships (loads), exchange programmes with unis overseas at a much cheaper price.
that's about some of its plus points.
received a pamphlet to know more of the faculties & various courses.
majority of its professors and lecturers (80%) attain PHDs.
students will be equipped with 10 skills, highly essential in the working world.
very impressive.
so that's what makes SMU grads all-rounded, i guess.
oh gee.
to become a lawyer,
I've to be excellent in my languages.
good is simply not enough.
ace GP, which is geee....
impossible.
but I'll try my best.
sit through SAT. the speaker admitted LAW is one of the tougher courses to get into.
very demanding.
oh god. I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE I'M TURNING 17 NXT YR.
anw, on a lighter side.
I came up with SMOO (SMU)
hahahah, get it?
lame, Az says.
so that was the last event for the day.
there's actually another talk; Course Counselling.
but we just couldn't be bothered.
eh I mean the rest.
so the 5 of us headed off for Whitesands. brunch.
KFC. Me & Az debated for Cavana.
hahahahha.
